This policy explains how the association collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data of members, program participants, volunteers, donors, and visitors to our website. We comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

2. Data we collect

• Member registration details: name, business or SSM registration number, address, email, and phone number.
• Program participation records: workshop attendance, training needs, and feedback.
• Contact form enquiries: name, email, phone number, subject, and message.
• Basic technical browser data used for site security and performance.

3. How we use your data

Data is used solely for membership administration, program delivery, association communications, aggregate impact reporting to regulators and funders, and legal compliance. We never sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.

4. Storage and security

Records are held in password-protected systems with access restricted to authorised Secretariat officers. Membership records are retained for the duration of membership and seven years thereafter for audit purposes, after which they are securely destroyed.

5. Limited disclosure

Data is shared only with appointed trainers or mentors where necessary to deliver a program, with our independent auditor, or where required by Malaysian law.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, restrict, or withdraw consent for the processing of your personal data. Submit a written request to info@selangorentrepreneurs.org and we will respond within 21 days.
